Kathmandu, Aug 23 : Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stressed on discipline in the party.
Speaking in a training programme organized by Progressive Engineers’ Association Nepal in Lalitpur district on Friday, Chairman Dahal argued that all political parties and people had equally contributed to abolish the monarchy in the country but the communist party had led the movement.
He said that the Nepal’s communist party should not repeat the mistakes like that of Indian communist parties. He also said that the NCP was the largest party in South Asia, therefore, it should be responsible to save the relevance of communism.
Chairman Dahal also opined that the communist should maintain simple lifestyle and should not be luxurious. He said the engineers should have the vision of leading the country on the way to prosperity.
Party General Secretary Bishnu Poudel and leaders Yuvraj Gyawali, Surendra Pandey, Dev Gurung and Dr Rajan Bhattarai also addressed the programme.
