Kathmandu:- Kathmandu based Pakistani Embassy has organized award-giving ceremonies to the winners of 8th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and 4th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition amidst a function on Monday in Kathmandu. On the occasion, Jagat Bahadur Sunar (Bishwakarma), Minister of Youth and Sports gave away awards to the winning students. Himalaya Shamsher Rana, President Pakistan Nepal Friendship and Cultural Association was invited as the special guest at the function.
Students who secured first, second and third positions in the Essay Writing Competition were presented Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with certificates and cash prizes of NRS. 50,000, 40,000, and 35,000 respectively. The next ten best students were also presented with cash prizes of NRs. 5,000 each. The topic of speech competition was “Inclusive rather than exclusive approach holds the key to success”.
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th position holders of the Speech Competition were presented with certificates along with Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and cash prizes of NRS. 50,000, 40,000, 35,000 and 25,000 respectively. The next twelve best students received cash prizes of NRs. 5,000 each. The topic for essay writing competition was “Silk route: Past, Present, and Future”
According to a press release issued by Embassy over one thousand Nepalese students from Higher Secondary Level (10+2) to University level participated in the competitions. The Minister for Youth and Sports appreciated the efforts of the participating students and called them a strong bridge between the youth of two countries. The ambassador highlighted the importance of youth interactions between the two countries. The two competitions which are held every year have become increasingly popular among Nepali youth and have been attracting growing attention from students all over the country.
