Jajarkot, Aug 25, Although the Inland Revenue Office, Jajarkot’s decision to switch to an online service had caused convenience to service seekers, the problem has surfaced much due ot irregular internet connection. The online service to issue the land ownership certificate was launched in the last week of June. But it has been proved a bane for service seekers lately.
According to paralegal practitioner Lal Bahadur Chalaune, prior to the online service, the Office would produce 40 to 45 land registration in a day, but now this has been significantly dropped to maximum four or five. Other related works have also been adversely affected. Absence of regular power supply, internet connection and other technical issues have hampered the public service delivery.
Non- gazetted second class officer at the office, Chandra Bahadur Khadka said the internet service provided by a Kathmandu-based company has not been working properly for three weeks. As he said, the internet provider is mostly responsible for this unwanted condition. It has not only caused problems to the people but also increased financial burden to the office.
