Nepalgunj, Sept 1. Minister for Urban Development, Mohammad Istiyak Rai, has pointed out the need of sensitivity while managing the problems of stray cow, the nation animal, which also bears religious value in Hindu society.
At a press meet organized here today, Minister Rai viewed that it was worrying that the cows said to be taken to Dailekh from Nepalgunj were left unattended and even killed due to mishandling in the midway. “If Nepalgunj city had held all-side discussion on how the stray cattle could be managed permanently, such untoward incident could not happen,” he reminded. Responding to a query, the Minister warned that those found guilty after the report of the probe committee would be taken action.
On a different note, Minister Rai, who is also the resident of Nepalgunj, reiterated that he would gradually address the commitment he made before the people during elections. “I don’t base any religion, caste and political faith while carrying out development activities,” he underscored.
Upgrading of Bheri hospital, construction of local bridges and roads, Kati pond and water park, renovation of famous Bageshwori Temple and social works were in his to do list, he added.
