Kathmandu, July 19 – Speaker at the House of Representatives (HoR) has urged the media persons to disseminate the fact based news. Speaking in a dialogue on empowering the role of media persons in covering the parliamentary affairs here Friday, Speaker Mahara said that the news beyond the truth and fact could not be reliable.
He further expected responsible media to make the society decent and the parliament effective. Speaking in the same programme, National Assembly Deputy Chair, Shashi Kala Dahal, Federal Parliament General Secretary, Manohar Prasad Bhattarai, HoR and NA secretaries Gopal Nath Yogi and Rajendra Phuyal respectively stressed the value of investigative journalism.
A total of 50 media persons are attending the programme.
