Lahan, July 19 – Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday made an on-site visit of various settlements in Siraha that were affected by floods and inundation.
Leader Deuba visited settlements at Basbitta and Sarswar in Siraha Municipality-6, Itari Prashahi in Kalyanpur Municipality in the district that were suffered worst by the flood in Kamala River.
Deuba, also the former Prime Minister, took stock of the damages incurred and its repercussions. Upon the visit, he expressed his sorrow over the plight flood-survivors shared. He urged one and all for rescue and relief operation to undertake in those areas.
The NC President also pledged utmost support from his party, the major opposition party, for the rescue and relief operation.
