Ambassador Sherpa’s resignation approved

Kathmandu, 1 February: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has approved the resignation of Nepali Ambassador to Australia, Lucky Sherpa, on Friday.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali confirmed the approval of the resignation of Ambassador Sherpa.

Ambassador Sherpa had submitted the resignation after she was alleged of involving in human trafficking and exploitation of labour.

The Foreign Ministry sought clarification from her on the allegation.
