Kathmandu, Sept 16 .Nepal is meeting Kuwait tonight for a match to be held under the AFC U-16 Championship Qualification underway in Jordan. The match will be held at the Prince Mohammed International Stadium.
The Nepali soccer team reached Jordan after two weeks of its achievement as the first runner-up of SAFF U-15 Championship. But in Jordan, its performance in the beginning was not strong. In the opening match, it faced a 7-0 defeat at the hand of host while Kuwait had won the opening match by 2-0 against Sri Lanka.
Nepal, Jordon, Kuwait, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka are in the group ‘A’. So far Jordon remains in the topmost position with three points while Kuwait in second position with same points, but on the basis of goal difference. The team coming out the first in the match will be qualified for playing the second round. Forty-eight countries are taking part in the Championship.
