Rajbiraj, July 31, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Province No 2, Shailendra Prasad Sah has provided three set of boats to the Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality in Saptari district to facilitate traffic movement for the locals here.
Every year the locals here face problems to move in and out of the village during the monsoon as the rivers swell up resulting in flood. Khadau Khola, Jita River and Koshi River are usually flooded in monsoon.
Minister Sah reached the flood-hit areas in Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality ward no 4, ward no 1 and 5 and handed over the boats. Many houses in these areas were inundated after a torrential rain two weeks ago.
The Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality is a remote rural municipality in the district. Minister Sah said that he wanted to support the locals in their movement since they were suffering from a reliable alternative means of transport during the inundation.
