Kathmandu, July 19 – The Inland Revenue Department has urged everyone involved in business and offices for income to maintain personal account number (PAN) compulsorily. The government has also adopted One Person: One PAN policy with the announcement of this year’s budget.
Issuing a press release today, the Department urged all to be enlisted in PAN. The government has come up with a policy of making PAN compulsory for the payment over Rs 1,000 to be effective from this fiscal year.
According to the Department, over 2.2 citizens so far have received the PAN. Around 100 thousand citizens have received PAN after the release of this year’s budget.
