America deports 19 Nepali

Kathmandu — The United States has deported 19 Nepalese. The deported individuals were brought to Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday evening at 7 PM.

According to Anjan Nyaupane, spokesperson for the Immigration Office at Tribhuvan Airport, they were brought to Kathmandu on a U.S. chartered flight. Among the deportees are 2 women and 17 men.

Nyaupane informed that they were deported for violating U.S. immigration laws. The deportees were handed over to the police on Thursday evening itself in coordination with the authorities.

The Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police will interrogate them, as they might have been defrauded by human traffickers. Police will only release them after questioning. If anyone files a complaint against such agents, further investigation will be carried out.

Earlier, in the month of Jestha (May/June), the United States had deported 37 Nepalese.
