Social justice guaranteed by constitution: Minister Banskota

Biratnagar, Sept 18  Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Gokul Banskota, has reminded that the Constitution had ensured citizen’s security and respect and social justice. There was no option but to institutionalize the hard earned democracy, Minister Banskota viewed at a press meet here Wednesday.

 

He however said citizen’s activeness was imperative to implement the Constitution. “Constitution Day is a common day of the people from all caste, language and cultures. The Constitution which has incorporated all Nepalis’ dream and aspiration establishes patriotism, democracy and social justice,” he argued.

 

Recalling that government had called all sides to mark the Constitution Day in a grand manner, the Minister said media has tremendous role in strengthening of democracy. He urged all to cement the present system with economic and social transformation.

 

According to him, government has taken citizen’s complaints in a positive manner. However, it would not be acceptable to act in a way it weakens the system. He further said government was working in a planned manner to ensure sustainable development.

 

He also claimed that present government has laid foundation for the solid economy with the creation of jobs. Exports have increased and relations with foreign countries improved.

 

The Minister also reminded that Nepal was able to generate 1,000 MW electricity in a year.
