Kathmandu, Sept 18 The second meeting today of the House of Representatives endorsed two proposals seeking consideration on the amendments from the National Assembly.
Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet had tabled the proposals seeking the HoR consideration on amendment made by the National Assembly on the ‘Environment Protection Bill, 2075 and the ‘Forest Bill, 2075’.
Taking part in the discussion on the proposals, MP Rajendra Kumar KC said that the slogan of ‘green forest, Nepal’s asset’ should be realized in practice.
Minister Basnet said that the bills were introduced with the thought that forests should be a medium of prosperity.
Also today, the HoR meeting passed unanimously a proposal seeking approval to send the Some Nepal Acts Amendment Bill relating to Education, 2075 for clause-wise discussion to the concerned committee. The proposal was tabled by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel.
The House of Representatives will meet next at 11:00 am tomorrow.
