Kathmandu, July 30, Monsoon activities in the country are presently less active as axis of monsoon trough is based on south from the Tarai region.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, monsoon have been less active these days as the monsoon trough is far from the country.
“It will take few more days to move back to Nepal and it can be said there is no immediate situation for monsoon to become active,” said meteorologist Shanti Kandel. However, isolated rainfall is possible in this period.
Tonight, generally to mostly cloudy has been predicted over the western region, partly to generally cloudy in the eastern and central regions with chances of rain at some places of the western region and at a few places of the eastern and central regions.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the western hilly region, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said .
