Kathmandu, July 23 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed dissatisfaction over the working style of the committee formed to probe the irregularities in the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences.
Speaking at the third assembly meeting of the RAHS at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar today, he commented that it was not right that the report which should have been submitted to the Chancellor appeared in the media.
The probe committee was formed by the government on June 13. Citing the Committee, media reported that it had recommended action against RAHS Vice-chancellor Dr Sangita Bhandari.
“The Committee, is ought to submit the report to Chancellor first, but it appears to be submitting to the social media and social networking sites,” said Prime Minister Oli, who is the Chancellor of the Academy.
“Is this a report of a political play? The members in the committee were there for investigation or for political play? S/he who is entrusted with the responsibility should understand her/his duties and obligations.”
Stating that a question on the credibility of the report was raised, he opined that by submitting the report elsewhere before to the Chancellor, some people were trying to pile a pressure. “I will not give in to such pressure. I will look into the matter before moving ahead on this matter”, Oli said.
