Chitwan, March 24 Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said the culture of groupism is natural within the party, but a mafia culture is sheer misfortune. Speaking at a party cadres’ gathering in Chitwan today, he reiterated, “It will be dangerous for the party if mafia rules the roost.”
According to him, the culture of factionalism is expected as the opposition force within the party as it helps make the party further strong.
Republic and federalism are the party agenda and the government is interfering in every sector, he argued. “Interference in education and health will not be acceptable,” he warned.
Other central leaders of the party as Sita Gurung and Dr Dila Sangraula said the party was always victorious in terms of its principle and ideology.
Similarly Devraj Chalise and district vice president Kailash Koirala stressed on the need of institutional development in the party. The programme was chaired by NC district president Jeet Narayan Shrestha.
