Nawalparasi, Oct 13: A national conference was organized in Nawalparasi for the preservation of folk culture in Nepal.
Some 16 working papers related to different folk culture were presented in the conference organized by the Folk Dialogue Council Nepal at the holy shrine, Triveni, on Friday.
On the occasion, Divyashameri Joshi, Satyadev Pandey and Sangeeta Poudel presented working papers on folk culture, Bhojpuri language and culture and use of images in folk songs, respectively.
Likewise, Ashok Tharu, Marisa Yangkumba, and Sheetal Giri also presented working papers on different folk cultures.
Folk Dialogue Council Nepal Chair Prof Dr Prem Kumar Khatry presided over the Nawalparasi session.
The Kapilvastu, Rupandehi, and Nawalparasi sessions were conducted in Triveni Dham of Nawalparasi.
