Pokhara, Aug 20, A modern building of Federal Police Unit Office has been constructed at a cost of Rs 27.87 million of National Reconstruction Authority Fund.
The two and half storey building has 16 rooms. Inaugurating the newly constructed building here today, Inspector General of Police, Sarbendra Khanal said that physical infrastructure was necessary to increase work efficiency of police administration.
He expressed the belief that the newly constructed building would become multi-useful for the effectiveness of peace and security, saying Nepal Police has significant contribution to maintain peace and security in the society and nation.
IGP Khanal directed police to coordinate with local level to control misconduct taking places at Lakeside of Pokhara and to resolve other problems related to peace and security.
On the occasion, IGP Khanala also laid the stone foundation for a barrack to be constructed at the premises of the Federal Police Unit Office.
The barrack is going to be constructed at a cost of Rs 32.5 million. Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of Gandaki State, Manohar Prasad Khanal, said that the state government was committed to make police administration well-equipped.
