Geologists arrive in Gulmi to study landslide

Tamghas, Aug 2 : A team of geologists has arrived here on Friday to do research on the landslide-hit areas. A huge landslide had occurred at Satyawati rural municipality in Gulmi two weeks ago.

Geologists Rajendra Acharya and Sulav Kayastha reached Simdek of Tulo Lumpek and Limgha in Satyawati, according to Chairperson of Satyawati rural municipality, Parsihwor Dhakal. The team will first conduct study of the landslide-affected areas and its geographical situation. “We will minutely conduct the study and will reach the conclusion,” said geologist Acharya.

Meanwhile, the Thulo Lumpek road section that was obstructed for two weeks since the landslide has been reopened, according to the Satyawati rural municipality.
