Beni, March 28 A health office under the domain of Gandaki State government was inaugurated in Myagdi district headquarters, Beni.
The district health office which was scrapped following the enforcement of federalism on last July has been reinstated as an entity under the Ministry of Social Development of the Gandaki State government. Minister for Social Development Naradevi Pun on Wednesday inaugurated the new office of health facility.
The health office has total posting of 11 employees including public health officer. Bhim Prasad Acharya, In-charge of District Public Health Office, informed that the district-based health facilities would provide technical assistance, develop capacity of employees and health workers, conduct training, supply medicines and carry out inter-municipality coordination.
The State government has provided a budget of Rs 18.4 million to the health office.
Minister Pun said health offices have been set up in all 11 districts of the Gandaki State for providing easy and smooth health services to the people.
