Pokhara, Nov 14: President of Bangladesh, Mohammad Abdul Hamid, has arrived in Pokhara, one of the main tourism sites of Nepal. President Hamid, who arrived on a four-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, came to Pokhara here today for a sight-seeing excursion. President Hamid is accompanied by his spouse.
The Bangladeshi President arrived in Pokhara airport on a Nepal Army helicoptor from Kathmandu. Chief of Gandaki state, Amik Sherchan, Acting Chief Minister of the state, Kiran Gurung, ministers, leader of opposition parties at state assembly, Krishna Chandra Nepali, lawmaker Khagaraj Adhikari and Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Man Bahadur GC, had welcomed the Bangladeshi guests.
Panchakanyas (five girls) offered Bangladeshi President Hamid bouquets as well as a tune of Panchebaja (traditional Nepali musical ensemble) was played on the occasion. The Bangladeshi President has now reached at Fishtail Hotel from airport to take rest. After taking rest, he is scheduled to go for boating in Fewa lake of Pokhara.
