Sindhuli, Oct 31, Kamalamai municipality in the district is set to observe the victory day on November 10. The day is observed in memory of the defeat of British Army by Nepali Army in a battle in 1824 BS. The Federation of Nepali Journalists, Sindhuli started observing the day since 2067 BS.
As part of the three-day occasion, statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal, would be garlanded and the foundation stone for a war museum laid, said the municipality mayor Khadga Bahadur Khatri, adding that likewise, various publicity programmes would also be held targeting ‘Visit Nepal Year, 2020’.
