Kanchanpur, Sept 18, A 26-year-old person died when a bus today hit a motorcycle near the Gulariya Bazar at Krishnapur municipality-5 along the East-West Highway in Kanchanpur.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Rana, of Dhangadhi sub metropolis-10. He died on the spot. Pillion rider 15-year-old Ranjeshwori Rana was severely injured in the accident.
She was referred to India after her treatment seemed not possible in the Attariya-based Padama Hospital, Area Police Office Jhalari’s Police Inspector Nain Bahadur Saud said.
Driver of the bus (Na 5 Kha 2073) Rupalal Khadka, 36, of Shanti municipality-3, Dang has been taken under the police control for further investigations into the case. The over-speeding bus hit the motorcycle as it was trying to cross the road.
