Kaski, Sept 15 . The selection of archers for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) scheduled in Nepal on December 1-10 has begun in Pokhara. The selection that began from Saturday in the archery ground in Pokhara Stadium will complete on September 16, said Dipak Raj Gurung, president of the Nepal Archery Association. Archers in the SAG compete for recurve and compound bows.
Of the 17 men and 11 women selected in the recurve bow, four men and four women will qualify for the SAG, and a close training for them will begin from September 18, said Gurung. Archery competition under the SAG is scheduled to organise in Pokhara.
In compound bow, four men and four women have already been selected, according to the Association.
Under archery in the SAG, athletes are competing for 10 gold medals, 10 silver and 10 bronze.
