Kathmandu, Sept 10 . Former minister and Nepali Congress lawmaker, Bhimsen Das Pradhan, has reminded that BP Koirala was the nationalist leader.
Lawmaker Pradhan was saying this at a programme organized in the capital city on the occasion 106th birth anniversary of BP Koirala, the first people elected prime minister of the country. “Country can learn a lot from the late Koirala,” he said.
The lawmaker blamed that the work style of the present government has dampened people’s hope. The government with two-thirds majority failed to work as per people’s expectation, he argued and asserted that his party, Nepali Congress, was in need of awareness at leadership level rather than at people’s level.
Similarly, Kathmandu president of NC, Sabuj Baniya, hoped that the nationwide awareness campaign launched by the party would help reenergize the party organization from the central to district level. He also underscored that leaders must reach their cadres to restore party strength.
Moreover, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, Hari Prabha Khadgi, said BP Koirala was a towering figure of Nepali politics .
