Bhadrapur, Sept 6, The Civil Aviation Office, Chandragadhi, Jhapa will shut Bhadrapur Airport for 15 days (2 pm to 7 am) starting today citing repair of the runway.
Repair of 1,500 metres long and 30 metres wide runway has started after 12 years, said chief of the aviation office, Purna Chundal. Gauri-Parbati-Dev and Sayar JV Kathmandu has won the contract to repair the runway at the cost of Rs 102 million, he said.
Airlines companies operating flights from the airport has rescheduled flights following the repair, he added.
