Onsite study to be carried out regarding cow death incident

Kathmandu, Sept 3 . Nepal National Committee of the World Hindu Federation has formed nine-member committee to carry out field study of the incident of deaths of cows in course of taking them to Surkhet from Banke. A special meeting of the Committee took the decision in this regard, said Committee’s senior vice-chairperson and spokesperson, Bharat Raj Poudel.

Twenty three cattle heads among a big herd of cattle were found dead in Surkhet on August 29.
The committee was formed under coordination of Committee chair and former minister Dr Ram Chandra Adhikari where Haribol Bhattarai, Dr Mitharam Bishwokarma, Dinesh Kumar Sijapati, Baba Yoginath, Mohan Lama, Arjun Shiwakoti, Badri Bhattarai and Rohit Gautam are members.

The committee has been given one week’s deadline to carry out onsite study of the incident. Similarly, another committee has been formed under coordination of senior vice-chair Poudel to hold discussion with a study committee formed by the government under coordination of Under-Secretary Sagarmani Pathak.
