Risal’s ‘Nepali Bangmayaka Teen Tara’ launched

Kathmandu, Aug 24 : A book ‘Nepali Bangmayaka Teen Tara (Three Stars of Nepali Literary World)’ authored by senior journalist Bhairab Risal was launched amidst a programme here today.

Ganga Prasad Uprety, Chancellor of Nepal Academy and Pradeep Nepal, Chairperson of Shami Literary Foundation, jointly launched the book composed based on the lives of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Kavi Shiromani Lekhnath Poudel and Natya Samrat Bal Krishna Sama.

On the occasion, Academy Chancellor Uprety said the contributions of journalist Risal to literature through journalism should not be less acknowledged. “Risal in this book has analyzed personal and literary influences of three eminent figures of Nepal”, he added.

Commenting on the book, Dr Abhi Subedi lauded Risal for presenting different dimensions of the art and literature in the book in a very lucid way. Another commentator Dr Aruna Uprety said the writer has encompassed very interacting anecdotes of the life and creations of the leading literary figures of Nepal.

Dolindra Prasad Sharma, Foundation’s patron, said Risal has prepared the book based on his experiences with the three pioneering literary writers of Nepal.
