Kathmandu, Jan 30: Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has reiterated Nepal’s commitment to One-China Policy.
During a meeting on Wednesday with newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi, Home Minister Thapa said that any anti-China activities would not be allowed from Nepali territory.
On the occasion, various issues including Nepal-China relations, mutual cooperation, and support in coming days were discussed, said Home Minister Thapa’s press coordinator Kiran Bhattarai.
Wishing Chinese Ambassador Yanqi for her successful term, the Home Minister expressed the belief that Nepal-China relation would reach a new height in her term. He also thanked the Chinese government for its support in physical structure, pieces of equipment and training to security bodies of Nepal and urged for continuous support in days ahead.
Similarly, Chinese Ambassador Yanqi thanked Nepal for its role to control anti-China activities and expressed the belief that such role would get continuity in days ahead too.
She said that the support provided by China to Nepal’s socio and economic development endeavors would be increased in the days to come.
