Phidim, Oct 22, Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the relation of Nepal with two neighbouring countries – India and China, has reached to a new height. Talking to media persons at Phidim today, Chair Dahal said,
“Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Nepal visit and operation of Nepal-India petroleum pipeline has taken the friendly relations with China and India to a new height.” He said, “The relation between Nepal and China has been further expanded and strengthened with Chinese President’s state visit to Nepal
” Saying Nepal could take a huge benefit from the eagerness shown by Chinese President Xi in Nepal’s development, the NCP chair asserted that operation of Nepal-India petroleum pipeline is not only a minor issue, it’s the matter of taking relations between Nepal and India to new era.
He further said that an agreement has been reached between ruling NCP and opposition Nepali Congress on Monday to finalize cases of transitional period as soon as possible. Chair Dahal expressed belief that all tasks of peace process would be finalized at consensus of victims of armed-conflict period.
On a different note, he said that the NCP would go for a new campaign by organising state-level orientation programme soon, saying the unification task of the NCP has reached to final phase. Talks were held with the Prime Minister and another NCP chair, KP Sharma Oli, on Monday in this regard, added Dahal.
Responding to a query of media persons, he said that reshuffling the cabinet is under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister. Chair Dahal expressed the belief that the government would move ahead with new energy on the basis of ‘Foundation Year’, saying the government has not been able to pay attention in overall sides including development construction in its first year as it focused its attention to formulate laws and acts to facilitate to government’s activities.
