Kathmandu, Sept 18 . Nepal Academy of Music and Drama (NAMUDA) is set to conduct sarangi orchestra entitled ‘country within sarangi’ across the country on September 19 on the occasion of Constitution Day (National Day). The musical event also aims to promote Visit Nepal Year 2020 for the conservation and protection of country’s original culture, said the organiser.
As part of this musical programme, a group of artists will play Nepal’s original folk music from Mechi to Mahakali. In Kathmandu, a band of artists will launch cultural and musical programme in the Hall of Rastriya Nachghar in Jamal on September 19 at 5 pm, said Ashok Rai, department chief of the Academy.
