Muglin, Sept 16 . A temporary police post has been set up at Ichhakamana rural municipality-3, Fisling in Chitwan.
Inaugurating the police post amidst a programme on Sunday, State-3 Assembly member Ghanashyam Bhusal said good governance can be maintained only when there is collaboration between citizens and police.
He also highlighted the need to upgrade Fisling police post to a permanent structure as it is the meeting point of three districts.
Also speaking on the occasion, chairperson of Ichhakamana rural municipality Gita Kumari Gurung said law and order was a must for country’s prosperity and the arduous efforts in establishing temporary police post would contribute to maintain security in the area.
Likewise, Superintendant of Police (SP) Dan Bahadur Malla said the police post was set up in Fisling to provide effective security service to the public. He further expected his confidence that the institutional set up was critical in the area witnessing frequent road accidents and fatalities.
A team of five police personnel under the leadership of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) has started delivering service from the post since Sunday.
Kamal Thakuri, a representative of Sagarmatha Club Fisling, expressed happiness over the establishment of police post after long efforts as per the demand of locals.
