Viral fever, a growing health issue in Bhimduttanagar

Bhimduttangar, Aug 30. The number of viral fever patients in the Bhimduttanagar-based Mahakali Zonal Hospital is increasing. According to the hospital source, more than 100 patients visit the hospital on a daily basis with complains of fever, common cold and headache. Some 200 visit the hospital for health issues and of them, fifty percent are diagnosed with a viral fever, hospital information officer Keshab Awasthi said.

As he said, the hospital has been tackling with the viral fever issues since the past one and half months.
Similarly, a flow of viral patients in other health facilities including private ones in the district has increased.
The Shriram Basic School based in Shuklaphanta municipality-1 has was closed for two days beginning from Thursday after three teachers: two female and one male caught viral. School Management Committee chair Padma Kunwar said the school was closed after all three teachers became ill.
