Parasi, Aug 27, National Assembly (NA) chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has urged people’s representatives to make sure the hassle-free services to citizens. In his address to a programme organised at Parasi by the Ramgram municipality in Nawalparasi West today, the Upper House chair sought that people’s representatives should not present unnecessary issues before service seekers. “Don’t tell that you (service seeker) have not met this requirement or that requirement.
Our focus should be on delivering prompt services as people’s representatives are not supposed to cause administrative or political hassles to people in republic system and such activities never support to build the nation.” Stating that arrangements have been made for regular budget allocation by the government for the development of the centuries-old Ramgram Stupa, the famous Buddhist shrine, which lies in the district, he stressed that people’s representatives should make initiation to bring more budget for Ramgram.
It may be noted that Rs 10 million budget was allocated for the area during the last and current fiscal year on the initiation of NA chair Timilsina. NA member Ramlakhan Harijan said the further development Ramgram Stupa and the entire Nawalparasi was his concern and he had been voicing for this in the NA and the government had addressed the voice as well.
State 5 Assembly member Baijanath Jayaswal complained that the Lumbini Development Trust could not give proper attention to the development of Ramgram and Panditpur. Ramgram municipality mayor Narendra Gupta admitted that no substantive plan could be brought for the Stupa remaining under the subordination of the Lumbini Development Trust.
Municipality deputy mayor Rambha Kunwar spoke of the need of physical infrastructure development in the Stupa area.
