Bejhad, Aug 19, Rambha rural municipality has so far become the first-ever local government unit in Palpa district to initiate free lab services in its all health facilities. Lab service has been brought to operation in the health facilities of all five wards of the rural municipality in order to expand patients’ access to health service.
Lab, maternity and pregnancy test services have come into operation in all health facilities of Rambha. The free lab service was initiated from Hungi of Rambha, ward-1, Tahun of ward 5 and Pipaldanda of ward 3.
Later it was scaled up at Foxingkot of ward 2 and Humin of ward 4, shared Bishnu Prasad Bhandari, chair of the Rambha rural municipality. “The rural municipality has made all arrangements related to human resource and instruments required to operate the lab services.
There is no worrying situation for patients to go outside to get services related to maternity, abortion and lab”, he said. Mahesh Acharya, coordinator of health section of the rural municipality, informed that the flow of patients to health facilities has seen a gradual rise with the initiation of lab service. “The service will render big relief to poor and disadvantaged people, he added.
