Water level in Mahakali river increases

Bhimduttanagar,  Aug 6Water level in Mahakali river has increased due to rainfall occurred from Monday night. The water flow in the river has been recorded at 113,000 cusec this morning. The Indian side has prohibited the movement of four-wheel vehicles at Banbasa bridge from this morning, according to the Area Police Office, Gaddachauki.

Passengers have been stranded following the prohibition of vehicular movement. Police said that the water flow might be increased as rainfall is still taking place in hilly districts.

Similarly, some houses of Bhimdutta municipality-2, 4, 6 and 18 have been inundated and a local vegetable market has been waterlogged due to incessant rainfall
