Kathmandu, Aug 4 Government spokesperson Gokul Prasad Banskota has said that the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will bear of all expenses of his treatment in Singapore himself.
Also the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Spokesperson Banskota said so in a press conference held at Singha Durbar on Sunday. Prime Minister Oli left here for Singapore on Saturday for his health check up.
He said the PM Oli will bear all the medical expenses himself of his treatment in Singapore. However, the government will only pay for air tickets.
Spokesperson Banskota while making the Cabinet decisions public here on Sunday shared that eight citizenship certificates received by submitting fake documents were cancelled. The citizenship certificates of Ashok Shah, Binde Mahato, Dana Devi Mahato, Sushil Mahato, Rajendra Mahato, Rajeshwar Mahato, Ram Kishor Mahato and Rajkumar Mahato were canceled.
Similarly, the Cabinet has also transferred three additional inspector general of Armed Police Force. As per the decision, AIG Pushpa Ram KC has been transferred to Armed Police Force Academy, AIG Narayan Babu Thapa to Border Security and Ram Sharan Poudel to APF Human Resources Department in Headquarters.
The meeting also decided to hold by-election of local level on November 30. According to the Election Commission, by-election would be held for 50 posts in 37 districts of the country.
The election would be held for the post of mayor of the sub-metropolitan city, chairperson and vice-chair of rural municipality, ward chair of rural municipality and member of the House of Representatives and State Assembly.
The government decided to publish Public Procurement (eighth amendment) Regulations-2076 in Nepal Gazette.
Similarly, the cabinet took the decision to assign Employee’s Provident Fund to operate Pension Fund until its establishment as well as to form a talk team regarding accepting concessional loan assistance of around Rs 21.45 billion to be provided by Asian Development Bank and give authority to it.
Likewise, the meeting decided to provide Rs 1 million to the Nepal Notary Public Council. The government has decided to waive visa fees on the exchange of professors and students under the Open University. Five students and five professors visiting Nepal from foreign countries under the Open University are entitled to the facility.
It was decided upon to provide a monthly relief of Rs 25,000 to Arjun Bhandari who was injured in the Kanchanpur incident wherein eight people including Bhandari were injured when the police opened fire on the demonstrators staging a protest demanding the arrest of the murder of Nirmala Panta.
Likewise, the meeting decided to allow the usage of the forest area for the construction of the 33 KV Matatirtha-Naubise transmission line.
