Krishnanagar, Jan 23: KI Nepal Kapilvastu an organisation working against human trafficking and gender-based violence – has rescued 361 women from border checkpoint of Krishnanagar during the period of three years.
Launching the three-year report, the organisation shared that it had consulted with 12,467 people at the border checkpoint during the period. As many as 226 women were provided with emergency safe shelter services, informed Keshar Biswokarma, district coordinator of the organization.
“Some 30 women have been kept at a safe shelter in Chitwan after their rescue”, he shared.
According to KI Nepal, Kapilvastu branch office, women at the age group 15-25 were found to be at high risk in the period of last three years.
